What is a Bridge?
A bridge is a dental restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth. It extends across an area that has no teeth and is firmly held in place by your own teeth on either side of the missing tooth/teeth. A bridge is permanent and cannot be removed.
Sometimes teeth are lost due to disease or injury and one way of replacing them is with a bridge.
It is important to replace missing teeth as quickly as possible to prevent the remaining teeth from drifting out of line and possibly causing jaw problems. Teeth that are out of line are more difficult to clean and you are more susceptible to gum disease.
Dr. AminZadeh will discuss in detail your options regarding the replacement of your missing teeth, including preparing a bridge or an implant. Our goal is to restore the appearance and functionality of your mouth and smile – effectively, comfortably and painlessly.
Dental Bridges Aftercare
If you take good care of your bridge it should last as long as ten years. It must be cared for like your own teeth with regular cleaning and flossing.
This procedure will require several appointments at our comfortable specialty dental studio.
